Autumn fashion in Pakistan featuring graphic tees, denim, layered clothing and accessories overlooking Islamabad.

Autumn in Your Step

The first week of Winter rains have hit Islamabad and it feels like the trees are finally going to change their shades. The season between September to November’s first week is Autumn in Pakistan and people would say, “yaar pankhay to bnd nhi hoty November tk!” and they’re not wrong. But rains feel chilly in Islamabad where we can swap from baggy t-shirts to full sleeve shirts at least.

The Fabrics of Seasonal Change

Sitting outside for lunch at Butler’s or Sage after rain calms the city’s heat feels lovely in September. We feel good in complete cotton and cotton-polyster blend shirts. Instead of Summer lawns, we can slowly take out full sleeve linens and georgettes because when else would we wear these fabrics anyway! We dress more Western with bold printed shirts and jeans in the Autumn.

Starting Off With Basics

Your wardrobe will need a good shuffling and cleaning up this season if you do not have basics! The trick is to ensure layering options are ready so when the cold instantly hits the cityscapes, you have jackets that go with the shirts.

First thing’s first. Get your colours assembled that include maroon, bottle green, beige, navy blue, grey, and black. In the longer run, these shirts can be layered with blazers, cardigans, hoodie inners, and under denim jackets. You can either order plain shirts or with printed stickers on them if you like, but basics are essential and you cannot skip this part.

Which Bottoms Do I Need?

Denims will do! Walk? No. Run to Pakistani jeans providers including Outfitters, Cougar, ONE, and Breakout. Since Cougar sales hit the market at 50% in August, Islamabadis have been running to their nearest outlets to avail the denims and pants to pair them up with creative shirts. The bottoms sold at Pakistani brands today come in shades like beige, cream white, plain white, black, burgundy, matcha green, and shades of blue.

Denim jeans, flowy flappers and straight pants are all bottoms you need for this seasonal change transition. Whether it is Spring or Autumn. Thanks to the Pakistani designers, we have special breathable Summer jeans too that are lighter in feel and baggy to match with shirts tucked in and out.

Speaking of baggy, there are so many bottom ideas these days that it gets hard to decide one. GenZ has a big fanbase for baggy, balloon-fit, and barrel-fit jeans. You can also choose carrot cut, boyfriend fit, mom jeans, and cargos if your body type suits them. Skinny has been so out of fashion for the past 4 years. So, don’t even think of wearing those at least!

Pro-shopping Tip: Don’t buy jeans without trying them on. Modern fits and cuts don’t suit everyone, so make sure to try them out.

Jeans is a diverse topic to discuss. No matter how many Farshi shalwars, straight bottoms, culottes trousers, and palazzo pants GenZ owns. We are still fond of the classic baggy jeans and Kurta combo! Moreover, the concept of coordinates for GenZ is highly appealing, economical, and ofcourse…”baggy”. We are in our own comfort zone, honestly.

GenZ Fashion At A Glance:

All sorts of baggy stuff and streetwear is super trending. Football team jerseys, baby tees, and layering shirts for youngsters is exceptionally insane when combined with Y2K and Japanese styling. Accessories are themselves the “FIT”. And since the #OOTD has been a major success online, the stories on the gram support maximalism, bold colours, large typography, cityscapes, and Pinterest-inspired outfits.

Pair your fresh jeans with bold graphic shirts. Good thing we have Sasta.pk for custom printed shirt options to fit our budget. GenZ explores imagination for prints that speak unapologetic statements and graphics and luckily Sasta is available year-round covering shirts for every season.

Accessorizing:

Chunky bangles, multiple rings, and triple chains are trending again. Big belts that show off the tuck-in from the layering makes a striking appeal. The role of bandanas are also hyped up giving that pirate-y, streetwear boldness to every look. The more accessories, the better the hype.

The Popular Opinion or The Common One?

Meme culture is strong, but one thing for Autumn is stronger. Casual looks. Whether you’re wearing a comedy-provoking graphic tee, your elder sibling would still be looking so well-put-together. A decent plain t-shirt paired with a layered crochet poncho that gives a snuggling comfort in the rainy season. I bet the Chelsea boots are out too! But the younger generation is all about Vans and Converse.

About a year ago, there was a meme on GenZ culture with teens crossing the street. Around 27 people more or less, but all wearing white tee with blue jeans. So hear us out, this Autumn, mark your calendars for a rugged WInter Arc and change your fashion to what you want to wear. And the trick is simply in your creativity. Layer it up, cut it off, accessorize a bunch, or experiment your skin-suitable shades of clothes. Don’t over-do it but don’t keep it mundane too.

Explore the gram and check out what suits your body type best. “One size fits all” mentality is too boring now. Your shape, your size, and your imagination leads the way in modern fashion. Own it.

Where to Get Shirts From?

Since we’ve discussed above where to get the bottoms from, here’s a quicker approach to get hands on premium quality shirts.

All old shirts from local markets can become dishrags and annoying mops of the house. Whereas, the full sleeve shirts from high-end brands are too expensive to even consider. So, what is the solution to this? Sasta, duh! Order plain shirts in bulk, a set of 3, and print your Pinterest-y designs on every shirt you want. We understand that the issue a lot of people face is the quality. We have a cotton-polyester blend fabric for shirts with 180 GSM durability. A tight knit that keeps that comfortable and breathable factor intact in our shirts.
